Never Worked With A Freelance Copywriter Before?
As your Copywriter, I will strive to be flexible and adapt to whatever process works for your business, but here’s a rough overview of what it looks like to work with me:
1. Let's Get Started
Get in touch with me by filling out the enquiry on the contact page. I’ll get back to you within 2 business days with a ballpark figure and a link to book a 30-minute discovery call.
In the call, I’ll ask you some brief questions regarding the project in order to put together a tailored proposal.
2. Tailored Proposal For You
Once we go over all the important details in our discovery call, I’ll be able to provide you with a proposal that outlines the project scope, timeline, deliverables and quote.
(FYI – I charge a flat fee per project so you know the up-front costs straight off the bat – there are no surprises here)
3. Lock It In Eddy
Excuse me while I squeal in excitement because you chose me to be your copywriter! Now it’s time to finalise all the details:
- Signed Proposal & Contract: You send back the signed proposal that outlines the deliverables, timelines, fees and other T&Cs.
- Deposit: A 50% upfront payment to secure the writing project.
4. Getting The Ball Rolling...
Now that we’ve locked in all the details of the project, we’re ready to start on the groundwork:
- Brief: I’ll send you a brief that goes over your brand, tone of voice and the type of content you’d like featured.
- Research: After you’ve sent back the completed brief, you can sit back and let me take it from here. I’ll research your brand, competitors, target audience and industry thoroughly to nail your copy!
Now let’s get writing!
5. It's Delivery Time!
Ahh finally, the day we’ve been waiting for!
I’ll send you the first draft via a Google Doc file, ready for you to review. This is the opportunity for you to request any tweaks or amendments to the content.
6. Review & Amendments
Hopefully we nailed it in the first draft, but if not, we have two rounds of amends to get your copy perfect! I want to ensure you’re completely happy with the content and that it 100% represents your brand.
I offer two rounds of complimentary revisions so you can get exactly what you’re after! I’ll take you through how to make your edit suggestions in the Google Doc so we’re both in the working document – this makes it a fully-transparent collaborative process!
7. *Tick* & We're Done!
Once you’re satisfied with the finished result, I’ll send across your final invoice – happy days! Let’s celebrate! Or why not get stuck into the next copywriting project?
